The Water Justice Hub presents

Newcast Studios original film

This 37-minute documentary shares strength-based stories from three rivers where the Water Justice Hub has worked as part of the ARC Laureate project:

  • Baaka (Lower Darling River), NSW
  • Roper River, NT
  • Martuwarra (Fitzroy River), WA

Produced in association with the Martuwarra Fitzroy River Council, the film explores our collective identity and place in the world—extending far beyond Australia’s borders.

Through breathtaking visuals, powerful music, and inspiring interviews, the documentary captures the wisdom of Elders and water experts, highlighting both the challenges these rivers face and the resilience of the communities working to protect them.

This is more than a film about water justice—it’s a story for everyone. It connects us to the broader world, shedding light on the environmental damage we are causing and the ways communities are responding with strength and hope. It weaves together the past, present, and future—the everywhen.
